TestSafe PAT Testing
We are a friendly, local PAT testing company, based in Burton upon Trent, founded in 2005 and have built a reputation helping clients to manage their maintenance of electrical appliances, ensuring compliance with health & safety legislation.

We offer dedicated Portable Appliance Testing or PAT Testing as it is more commonly known. We are not looking for repair work or other electrical work, so we offer a fair price for a professional, trustworthy service. Think of us as a dedicated MOT Tester for your electrical equipment.
We have built a client base of over 1500 customers throughout the midlands region, covering, Staffordshire, Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire and the East & West Midlands. Our customers range from DJ’s & Hairdressers through to large blue chip companies.
Many Clients believe that they have to have all electrical equipment inspected and tested every year. Many companies trade on this “fear”, often exaggerated by them to ensure they have repeat business every year. This is untrue, and can actually be the cause of damaged IT Equipment, that does not need testing every year. Moving and disconnecting IT equipment, can cause damage and costly replacements, together with downtime caused by failures.
We attempt to repair or re-wire appliances where possible, rather than fail appliances. Many companies will fail equipment as it allows them to complete the job more quickly, however this is false economy for the client as they have to spend more on replacing assets.
We help companies determine frequency of testing, based on a “risk based assessment”, that is recommended by the Institution of Engineering & Technology (IET) as detailed in their “Code of Practice for In-Service Inspection & Testing of Electrical Equipment – 5th Edition).
We have eight dedicated engineers, many of whom have been with us for more than ten years. This ensures that they get to know our clients and this makes life easier as they are familiar with site layouts and are trusted to work safely and methodically with minimal disruption.

All engineers have an Enhance DBS Check and are technically qualified to C&G 2377 Level 3 for the Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment.
We have five staff in the office, who are available to discuss PAT Testing with clients and offer advice and assistance. We guarantee a dedicated office contact, who will handle your account, thereby ensuring continuity and a guaranteed contact, who will remind you when re-testing is due. This allows you to leave the management of your PAT Testing regime with us and helps you to comply with your Duty of Care.
We are regularly assessed by NAPIT (National Association of Professional Inspectors & Testers), who audit our Engineers for technical capability and our internal procedures for technical compliance.
SafeContractor are a professional organisation, who audit us for Health & Safety compliance. This is undertaken on an annual basis.
